Bearing carrier sealant

I’m installing my bearing carrier into my housing and the manual suggests using perfect seal C-92-34227, is there any sealant that could be used to substitute this perfect seal that can be bought at a local auto store?

Ayuh,..... Liquid non-hardening permatex,..... the last bottle I bought at Napa, didn't call it number 3,....
