Bearing carrier removal 25hp

Yes, salt water corrosion to the housing and carrier. Best thoughts on removal?
No way is this baby coming apart with a couple of screwdrivers in the indents.

Also, the spanner nut is aluminum, so if you really can't get it to move, you can drill two holes across from each other on opposite sides of the nut, that are not the larger than the width of the nut material (so you don't damage the threads). Then put a flat head screw driver and collapse the nut.

The next step is you will need a puller (like Ian said) to seat on the prop shaft and then grab the bearing carrier. I went to Napa and got a $7 puller, then stopped at ace and picked up two long eye bolts I think 12" long, I cut the eyes to make hooks. The bearing carrier popped right out. It was cheap and effective.
