Battery not getting charged

replaced alternator with a new one on my 2016 Mercury 150 hp 4 stroke . Only getting a reading of 12.55 volts at battery with motor running . Should be 13.5 to 14 volts from what I understand . Suggestions anyone ?

Have you checked the fuses?
