At wits end. Need help. Low speed idle issue.

1995 J115SLEOC. Engine runs great above 2000 rpm. Under 2000 rpm it runs rough and sometimes dies and becomes hard to start. Also dies on throttle back from high speed run. Tachometer sometimes erratic.

Things checked and done so far. Compression test good, fresh fuel, new fuel/water filter, carbs rebuilt, manifold gaskets replaced (both sides front and back), various fuel supply system gaskets and orings replaced, sparks plugs.

I have been advised to replace the manifolds and the o-rings on the manifold fuel bars but looking for some additional advice.

Any advice appreciated and thanks in advance.

Was old fuel from last year left in? New fuel added to it? Try draining fuel bowls,look for contaminants Drain the new water/fuel separator into a clear container let sit overnight,inspect for crud

Make sure calibration pockets on throttle bodies are clean and gaskets sealed
