Ditto. In the US I think you can only buy a Honda outboard through an authorized dealer, and that is definitely the best way to go in case you need any warranty work, which you likely will.

WOW, I JUST priced out with dealers here in Michigan for a Honda BF40 electric start + power tilt & trim, long shaft and they wanted nearly $8,000.00. This site has them for 3,800-4,200, I would say that is some shady stuff happening right there. It may be a few model years old (2015), but that is under priced for market value for used ones for 2015.

FYI...if the motors are purchased from outside the USA, Puero Rico or the Virgin Islands, American Honda will not recognize any warranty.
