I have twin 150 XL's, the shift clunk drives me nuts. Looking for some feedback on the Flo-Torq hubs. How much do they help?

You have non ratcheting lower units and are known to "clunk". The Torque-Flo SSR will reduce it a tad but it will never go away

interesting, I’d love to know more about the different types, know anywhere I can read more about them? I googled that, but didn’t come up with much.

The non ratchet gears are square cut for the shift dog , the ratcheting are angled cut. On a ratcheting if you come off the throttle suddenly you will hear the prop rachet as it free spins. If you do this with a non rachet will cause the stern to drop as prop stays at engine RPM and drags stern down
