98 Mariner 200 efi 2.5l continous beeeeeep!!!

Getting a continous beeeeep from under the dash, this only occurs at full throttle. stops when i slow down.
I have had this at the repair shop now for 3 weeks.
they have replaced .

water pump
thermostats
temp sensors
adjusted tps
oil levels are all completely full

Now they are looking at a knock sensor.

any idea???? im very frustrated with this service place.

That's a hot alarm so check the poppet also....

do you feel that its a water flow issue or a sensor

also i forgot to ask, should that motor at idle have a steady pee stream????

Can be a number of things.

Pee stream will only occur once the thermostats get up to temp and how much flows while it’s on the hose depends on how hard the tap is on. Sometimes mine will spit on the hose, sometimes it will run. I don’t run for long on the hose ever.

in water it should get to temp quickly and then pee solid while running. Water from the tell tale is always hot on these motors...

the symptom of only happening under full throttle leads me to think either it’s trimmed up too high and you are losing water pressure at speed or there is a blockage or problem (poppet highly likely) causing slow or insufficient water flow in the block at high rpm’s.

i chased this type of thing down in 2014 and it ended up being a combination of things, but the final correction was the poppet, wasn’t working properly.

i do not know how the knock sensor would impact this.
