When I was winterizing I got a lower unit full of water. I'm assuming there's a leak in the prop seal because it's not leaking all over my driveway. I was going to order a seal kit to rebuild everything and I noticed that there are two gear ratios for this engine. 1.86 and 2.
My serial number is 0A993366 (pretty sweet serial number, eh?). Is there a way to find my gear ratio without taking the whole thing apart and actually counting the teeth? The part numbers for the two kits are different, and the pictures of the kits look totally different too.
For bonus points, is there a way to know for sure just by looking at my serial number? It's the original lower.
Thanks!
