86 Cobra CV joint

I am trying to check and grease or change the U joints whatever is necessary. It looks to me that I am going to have to pull the input shaft on the leg as it is imposable to get at the inner joint without damaging the rubber boot. am I right or is there a simple way that I can`t see.

Arrgh matey, looks like that thar leg's gotta come off! You will need a new gasket for in between the gimbal housing and the upper gear case.
