75hp Stinger Trigger and Stator

I have a 75hp Stinger. How do you test the Trigger and the Stator?

And why may we ask? What are your symptoms/problem? What year Stinger?

Boat runs fine for a couple of hours then stalls when trying to accelerate. If I move the throttle forward and it starts to bog down I can quick put it back in neutral and it will idle fine. So I let it idle for awhile and try to inch the throttle forward, if it dies I go back to neutral but after a few times of this inching forward and back to neutral game the boat is ready and off I go. Here’s what I’ve done but hasn’t helped: rebuilt carbs, new fuel pump, checked compression and it was fine, new plugs, checked spark (nice and strong), checked to make sure trigger was moving and that seemed to be moving fine. I’m not sure what to do next!

Open the gap up between roller and throttle cam ...about a 1/8" gap.
