496 mag spark plug wire question

Changing my plug wires on my 2005 Mercruser 496
Just want to verify that that wire from the coil pack goes directly to the spark plug under neath each coil.

It's a wasted spark type system so it technically doesn't matter but yeh

What do you mean wasted spark system?? The coils still pulse to the spark plugs. It has to be in the correct order. I just want to know if the coil above each spark plug is the one it's wired to?

i should have eight coils...each above the plug it drives....and its not a wasted spark design...
