02 225 desperately needs new high pressure side strainer... Have the parts.... Can't find the thing. Do I have to remove the intake manifold cover? Any help would be great.. Thanx DBA

Nope. Have to remove side covers. It is located at the rear of the engine in the vapor separator. See #34 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Honda/Outboard%20Engine/2003/BF225A3%20LA%20VIN%23%20BAGJ-1100001%20TO%20BAGJ-1199999/VAPOR%20SEPARATOR%20ASSY./parts.html

It is best to also replace the o ring....#18. Lube it up a little. Be very careful putting everything back together. The surface is sharp and the o ring cuts easily. Once the filter is in and before you put the covers back on....have someone turn the key switch on for two seconds and off. Do this a few times and watch to be sure there are no fuel leaks around the filter cover. If there are leaks, the o ring was cut.

Also, while you are fooling around in the area, it's a good idea to remove the VST and clean it out and check the needle valve.

on back side of motor two screws, look harder should be easy to see.. If you can't find let us know I will either scan service manual info or take a pic of mine for you.. Its super easy because if I can do it then anyone can :) good luck
