2006 BF90a Running rough, sputtering

Gas is good, changed plugs, old plugs are top to bottom just like the pic, tried to meter the coils, tab to tab got 0.03 /tab to plug socket got nothing (tested a new coil and got the same readings), what could it be? Pulled the plug caps while running and 1&4 make no difference in engine sound.

Your coil measurements sound like they're probably normal.

Running on only 2 cylinders and the #2 and 3 plugs look fuel fouled.
Ouch!

When was the last time the valves were adjusted?
If you can't recall, that's what I would be looking at next.

A local mechanic friend suggested looking at the thermostat. He said if it get stuck open it'll run so rich the engine never warms up, sputters, etc. Gonna pull the thermostat tonight. If that's not it I'll go to the valves.
 
I pulled the thermostat and all the parts around it. It was DEFINATELY corroded beyond function. I ordered new orings, gaskets, thermo, the rubber and plastic parts:

They're due in tomorrow. I'll update my progress. Any further advice and suggestions on root cause would be appreciated. I'll be following up on JGMO's advice on the valves next if this doesn't cure and THAT is beyond my skill set so will have to hire a mechanic and this time of year could mean a lot of time off the water. Thanks ya'll!
 
Well,.I don't know but I think I would also put in new spark plugs if you haven't already.
