2005 Merc 115HP EFI Backfire on start after rebuild

Bought this and had to replace the cylinder head because of water corrosion and replace the rings. Got it all together and am backfiring and have flame coming out of my intake screen. Lined up all my timing marks. Everything looked right. Any thoughts? going to check my compression today.

Timing off or cylinder wires crossed

I'll check the wires. Thanks. Timing looked good. Timing belt had marks off maybe 1/2 a tooth.
