2005 BF 200 won't start

problem started like engine wasn't getting fuel. I had a mechanic said it was a collapsing fuel and fixed it. I ran it for an hour I thought it was fixed. I got back to the dock the O2 sensor went off. I replaced the sensor. seemed OK. Next time down going fishing left the motor running when I went in for bait. I came out the engine was not running. This time I found the main engine harness plug had gunk on it cleaned it up so far everything OK

Found the problem by checking every contact for proper connection
 
If the main engine harness had junk, it's likely others do too. Best to pull each one and clean thoroughly.

How did you figure out it was the main harness? That's often the last place people look, if then.
 
My son came down with me. Years ago he repaired copiers. The first thing they would do is pull every connector apart and check it. That's how we found it.
