2003 Honda 75 hp

I'm having an issue with the oil light blinking and going out then in limp mode at low rpm. If I shut it off and restart it the light stays solid green till i go in no wake zones. I replaced the oil sensor, New oil and filter, plugs and lower unit oil. What else could be causing this problem. Thanks

Well, I don't want to say it to you but it sounds like you may have low oil pressure at low rpms.

I suggest that you put a mechanical pressure gauge in place of the sensor to see if I'm right or wrong.

I don't have a specification to give you because I don't have the service literature for this outboard. But I would be very concerned if the pressure is dropping below 15 psi at idle in neutral.

I forgot to say that you will likely need an adapter with British Standard Pipe (BSP) 1/8" male thread to National Pipe Thread (NPT) 1/4" female thread to fit the gauge to the engine. Those adapters are available on Amazon and hydraulic equipment sellers.

Check the pressures with the engine fully warmed up.
