Where is the tiny fuel filter located near the portside fuel rail. Behind the rail or on it? Thanks for any help. Have replaced the fuel pump holder with mesh screen in the bottom. Did not know about this one.

Here is a slightly better picture of the location. Again, part #4

I see the diagram on boats.net. I was hoping someone could tell me exactly where its located. Their v6 car engines have the same filter.

Well, once you locate it properly, take pictures and post it on this forum so others may benefit. And if it is clogged up, take pictures of that, too.

Looking at the diagram on boats.net, if you see that little o-ring at "7" that o-ring is the seal around it, and the small hole just to the right of it in part no. 6 (the pressure regulator), is where the filter goes. You have to remove the pressure regulator from the rail, then you'll see the filter in that hole, which is where fuel flows between the regulator and rail.

It's kind of confusing in the diagram, because the filter, part 4, is blown up in the diagram and not to scale in comparison to the other parts in the diagram.

I may have a picture somewhere, but once you pull the regulator off, you'll see it.
