2002 225 optimax compressor oil prime need help

I have twin 2002 225 optimaxs on my boat one compressor went . I cleaned out all the lines because the oil in the lines from the compressor were silver from the metal and I replaced the two In line filters . Now I need to prime the new pump before I start it . I tired the key on and shift to nuetral and then foward 5-10 times and then the oil pump should run for 2 minutes to prime the system how ever it’s not working . I then tried it on the other motor again the oil pump did not run . I read on a lot of forums this is how you do it . Any ideas on why the key on nuetral to forward is not working ?

Make sure all lines where cleaneed,check valves cleaned or replaced,filters replaced and air rails cleaned...

Hello . Thanks for the response I did all that all ready . I am ready to start the motor but I want to prime the oil I don’t get that on all forums it says to turn the key on and move lever forward and neutral 5-10 times with in 5 seconds also the owners manual even says the same thing . I need advice on priming the oil . I should say I have oil yo to the line going to the pump also the pump is used off of a very low hour motor and it is the new style pump painted black . So since it’s used I know there is all ready oil in it how ever I would really like to do the proper priming Procedure.
