2000 150 Ficht cuts out stall

My 150 Fichte starts and idles great but under power will start to cut out and then stall. After one or two pumps on the bulb it will restart and then the scenario will repeat. I discovered that if I hold the pressure on the bulb for 10 secs or so it runs perfectly the rest of the day.

i am thinking the lift pump may be the issue. Would a lift pump kit solve this problem?

Air getting into your fuel line?

My thought too. The engine fuel delivery system does not need a lift pump. If your primer bulb and all hoses and fittings are in good working order you should maintain a good siphon at all times and the motor will run fine. FICHT uses very high pressures in the fuel injectors and any amount of air in the lines will cause them to misfire and create all kinds of problems.

The high pressure pump only supplies fuel to injectors, it will not pull fuel from the boat, you need the lift pump to keep the fuel pump/separator full.....
