20 ft Bullet set up

I have a 20 ft Bullet with a 225 pro max motor is set 1 1/4 above the pad ran 28 pro max today cool weather turned it 6300 at a speed of 83.3 GPS with a full tank of gas and 2 people . My question should I get the the 27 pitch for the best overall prop when the water and temp gets hot the rev limiter is set at 6750 for this motor just thinking the 28 may be to much for hot weather Thank you for any help

Was this with a full livewell?? How much setback on jackplate? Is this a XD? If water pressure is good at 2/3-WOT you may be able to raise it another 1/2". Have you tried a Trophy prop??

I have a 12 inch set back the water pressure is at 20 the 28 pro max is great in cooler water just thinking to much in summer time conditions don't want to raise anymore already at 1 1/4 above pad I've heard trophys are bad to sling ears when running them that high
