1998 BF75 water indicator keeps plugging I think

I had a post a long while ago. I had picked up a 98 BF75. Long story short the cylinder cooling and head cooling had sand and such in them. The block cleaned up very easily but the head took much surgery to get it opened up but I did get it. after all of this I never overheat but pee hole seems to keep plugging. After the surgery I also did a CLR flushing which cleaned much up. I suspect but don’t know that I am getting crusty’s from the head. One thing I noticed today is on two occasions the water indicator stopped. I shut motor off and tilted the motor up about a 1/4 ways and the water started peeing again, not running. Put the motor down and started and had flow back. Not sure if this a symptom of something else or just something floating and keeps plugging. Any ideas? There happens to be a head on eBay that looks to be in much better shape than mine other than my motor runs great. Trying to decide if I should just live with it.

I had a similar issue after flushing a lot of salt and gunk, you could see small bits clogging the telltale hole. I removed the plastic plug and flushed it again to allow the bigger chunks to clear. I also drilled the opening in the plug a bit larger. It seems to have cleared itself up.

A 75. I have cleaned the tube back to the engine nipple and also ran something through the nipple a couple days before this event. Did get some calcium pebbles out. when cleaning up originally the head was so clogged it is highly unlikely I got all of it out. One section was so compacted that it took dental type picks and about 4 hours to even break through to open that area back up. Impossible to get in to all the passages with a wire brush. I did get creative and made some snake type cleaners.
