When running at wot about 5000 rpm , engine suddenly looses power and drops to 4000rpm. Seems to be doing it after warm up. I've cleaned the entire fuel system from tank up to and including carbs . I think it's electrical but not sure what components to check first ? Wiring and connections all ok
any suggestions would be appreciated

The cdm's checked out ok, assuming I read the meter correctly. I found a looses wire on the stator connection , but didn't have any effect on performance. I'm going to check wire harness closer.

I've replaced all 4 CDM's I figured the engine is 17 yrs old. I still have the same issue up to 5000 rpm then drop back down to 4000. I'm going to try the timing light when running at WOT to find the cyclinder. I also noticed after I tilt my engine up and come back the next day a small amount of mixed fuel has dripped out of the bottom cowl. I just thought it was because the cylinder wasn't firing . Could this be the problem . All fuel lines are tight . Could this be a reed problem ??? Thanks for any comments or hints. Staring to get really frustrated
