1997 Mercury 15hp Two-Stroke Float Orientation

Hello, could someone verify the proper orientation of the float. The float has a flat side and a side with a ridge (see picture). I am not sure if the ridge is the top of the float or the bottom. Thank you for your help!

Same here! There was nothing I could find except 1 video and a link but I'm still not convinced it was right. The one I replaced was different.
