1997 Honda BF90A Slow Pilot Jet

Hi Scott,
That's good news. I was about to get back to you to say it probably wouldn't be a good idea to try using the larger jet set.

I don't know for sure that you couldn't have made it work (if it was all three carbs) but I suspect it would cause a rich condition at idle that might result in plug fouling and carbon buildup in the cylinders.

If it was just one mismatched tube then it would probably make synching the carbs impossible.

Glad to see that you were able to cancel the order.

I was able to clean all 4 of the #40 slow jets and reuse them. One was really clogged and not easy to
clean those small orifices'. Did sync the carbs after and motor running much better now. Not sure why the
design doesn't just have one carb mounted to the intake like on car engines? Probably some kind of redundancy
they're trying to achieve. Thank you JGMO for the reply.

Well,
Glad to hear you found success! Those little tubes are a pain and sometimes they are impossible to get clean. So, you did good.

Congratulations and thank you for updating with your results.

Safe boating!
