My Oceanrunner was starting fine Saturday night and would not even turn over on Sunday morning. The solenoid clicks and appears to have power going to it and the starter. Is the solenoid the problem or the starter?

Jump directly across the two big terminals on the starter solenoid. Use a suitable pair of pliers, or a very large gauge wire, the same size as the battery cable that are attached. It has to be large due to the amount of current that will flow.
Starter should turn. If it doesn't....it could be a couple of things. One: Bad battery cables or connections to battery at the ends. That is first. Two: Bad starter.
You can take the starter off, and have it bench tested at many local auto parts stores.

If it turns normally, then possibly the solenoid....not really likely tho, as you say it clicks....normally a bad solenoid will not click.

Only if the starter fails a bench test would I order another. I have quite a few of those starters if you want to PM me....

The batteries have some age, but test show 12 volts going to the starter and solenoid. I put another battery to those with cables and still the same results. Used the pliers as directed and still just the clicking. I'm no mechanic, but thinking about chaging the starter and solenoid, what do you think? Thanks
