I'm having some trouble with mine. I have a 1992 nitro 2000DC bass boat. The original engine was garbage. I found a 1996 Johnson 200 venom engine and swapped it onto the boat. I have replaced the power pack, stator, and have put new spark plugs in it. I purchased the wiring harness that connects the newer engine to the older controls. I have checked compression and found it to be good. The issues I'm having is I can't get it to start up and stay running. It will crank for just a few seconds after I prime the fuel bulb and then it will fire but will die shortly after. Only runs for about 3 to 4 seconds. I'm not sure how long the engine had sat for before I got it. It almost seems like the timing may not be set correctly. Any advise would be awesome.
