1995 mercury 150 xri

i have a 1995 mercury 150xri. i need to replace the clutchdog but i dont know how to determine what gear ratio i have. any help would be appreciated

The 1:87 and 2:1 use same dog...the XRi didn't use the smaller gearcase(1:78) to my knowledge unless someone swapped it...
