1995 Force 120 HP Lower Unit

Hello all. Needing a new lower unit on a 1995 Force 120HP Outboard motor. Serial 0E088624 Model 120ELPT. Does anybody know if these are interchangeable with other force motors? I'm really new to this and don't really have a clue what I'm doing. If I get the right lower unit, I'm confident that my brother and I can get it on. Also, how do I know if I have the 20 or 25 inch drive shaft? Thanks!
 
Do I need my old lower unit to identify the gear housing? When I had my boat serviced they removed my lower unit and never returned it to me. I'm currently in the process of dealing with that marina to try and get it back. So right now I have a perfectly fine motor with no lower unit and 0 experience with trying to fix this stuff. You believe a 115HP merc from that same era will fit?
 
You can order a new on for $845 from SEI but you will have to change the shift shaft as they only sell 6 jaw units....
