As long as you plugged the nipple where the oil used to feed to the fuel pump (and it sounds like you have left the pump in place, just removed the shaft), then it sounds like you have covered all the bases.
Go ahead and fire it up...
If this is a V6...No you need to install the block off kit as if motor overheats the rear oil pump bushing in block can come loose and fall into cylinder while running resulting in motor failure. Below is kit as it holds bushing in place...As long as you plugged the nipple where the oil used to feed to the fuel pump (and it sounds like you have left the pump in place, just removed the shaft), then it sounds like you have covered all the bases.
Go ahead and fire it up...
