back story on the motor back in my I wasn't getting full rpm and it was running ruff so I decided to do a link and sync. when I got the air box off I found one of the fuel lines splitting so I replaced all the fuel and primer lines. decided to rebuild the carbs when I was there. and it hasn't been right since. I have changed plugs, ran a compression test, checked spark on all cylinders by jumping an air gap and putting a spark tester and watching it run.
here is what it is doing now. i am fighting an idle issue. when starting on the muffs it will start fine but will load up running real rich and die in about 20 seconds unless I raise the throttle. couple observations. there is fuel spitting from most of the idle jets not the carb throat . when you adjust the idle by moving the timer base screw nothing really happens, don't really see any change in rpm. was able to coax it on plane and there was a surge at higher rpms so I didn't go far, open to suggestions
thanks
