Can I just replace the Flywheel Adapter rather than the Complete Flywheel Assembly?
While trying to identify why my engine would not Rev to maximum RPMs, I inadvertently damaged the Doughnut shaped magnet that goes around the Crankshaft Adapter and sits just below the bolts that mate the Flywheel with the adapter...
Unfortunately I did not have the specifically designed puller, for the flywheel, and elected to use a standard puller. This would have worked just fine, but I did not stop to consider that there was anything below the bolts that could be damaged by using a longer bolt. (Does not show in any diagram I had looked at.)
Anyway, the Flywheel appears to be in like new condition and I would prefer to replace just the Magnet or Adapter with Magnet, rather than having to replace the entire Flywheel Assembly...
Any thoughts on weather this part is available by itself and what it is called?
