Noob...
i have a 69 Larson with an 81 evin 50 hp out. It sat for a total of about 8 years with a couple outings between.. It used to run great full throttle idle etc... now it will NOT idle and only runs under half throttle. Tested for spark and found only the bottom coil was firing. The top wouldn't. So i switched the bottom wires to the top coil and now the top fired (using bottom coils wiring) while the bottom coil did not. So I know both coils are good but what would make one of the two coil wires not get power? Power pack or the stator maybe? Where the coil wires come together in the wiring harness connects the black (ground?) wires is pretty corroded. Could that cause one cylinder to fire and one not fire?? PLEASE HELP!!!
if I understand right the stator is a magnetic charging system that supplies power to the power pack which supplies power tho the spark plugs is that correct?
