1980 Mercury 175

Hey guys. I have a 1980 mercury 175 that has the old style power tilt system. As you know this is a very slow system and to my knowledge is only power tilt. What can i do to "upgrade" the tilt system to a power tilt/trim? I would really like to be able to get rid of the trim pump inside the boat.

Need to find a midsection with 3 ram trim and swap lower unit and powerhead/adapter. You unit is both tilt and trim as its a single ram and it will trim higher than a 3 ram.

What all years of motors are interchangeable?

A 1988-2000 will V-6 will work and you will need to add solenids/relays depending on if a 2/3 wire system
