Just replaced the 3 old leaky coils with 3 new OEM.
The old 4 pin connector was a pain. The wire connected to the "DE" 4th pin broke in the process which is a good thing since it was clearly corroded.
I'm considering replacing the whole 4 pin connector but am curious if there's a reason I really need to use that style connection.
Is there any reason I couldn't just eliminate the 4 pin connector by using 4 individual slide connectors? I know the voltage here is pretty high so I'd need to be sure to use high quality connectors.
I'm also try to figure out what the DE (4th) pin actually is. I have the service manual here so I'll pull it out shortly, the answer is probably there.
