1975 evinrude 85hp rebuild issue

I am rebuilding a 1975 85hp Evinrude model 85593-E. I sent the block off and had the cylinders bored .020. The company that did the block sent new pistons and bearings for the crankcase along with new rod bearings and bolts. So I have intstalled the pistons and connected them to the crankcase and cylinder heads are finger snug. The crankcase head is installed and torqued to spec. The problem is that for some reason the pistons are bottoming out on the block and wont allow the crankcase to make a complete rotation. Does anyone have any ideas on this or can point me in the right direction as to what I may have done wrong? The pistons are Wiseco and are the ones that are supposed to be for this engine. I have rebuilt engines before but havent ran into this before umless there was an incorrect part somewhere. I have triple checked my work and just cant make any sense of it.

Post part # of the pistons.----I would say they did not bore it down far enuff into the cylinder or they had difficulty with honing a blind hole.------I have done my own boring / honing on many motors.----Have an idea as to what is wrong !

Thanks for the quick responses. I am going to tear it back down tomorrow and will post pics and part #'s tomorrow evening. Thanks again.

So I found the problem. I am a little embarassed. I had had the piston heads on the wrong side. It looked like the piston was hitting bottom when in reality it was whitting the head pan. Thanks again for the help and replies.

Must of had a hard time putting on the last two rod caps!
Have had several DIY bring me short blocks that crank "jumped" or bound when rotated due to step in bottom, and rod caps was installed.....
