1973 Evinrude triumph electric shift lower unit compatibility

I am looking for a new lower unit for my 55hp triumph push button shift and I am curious what year lower units will work. I have found a few, one being a 1968-1971 it would be a huge help if someone could let me know as I am lost with this stuff.

when I get home I will give ya the model # - i’m in massachusetts and the issue is I hit a rock and it put a hole in the lower unit right where the gears for the shifting is and it doesn’t shift anymore.

the model number of the outboard is 55973A
