Hi, what is all involved to convert a non electric 18hp. to electric start?

Probably more than what the engine is worth if you can find all of the parts used... You're going to need the electric start flywheel (the ring geared version) electric starter motor and bendix, the replacement bracket to allow the starter to bolt up to the block that replaces the manual starter bracket, wiring, battery cables, solenoid, battery, starter push button. Parts could be found but you'll have to hunt. Getting hard to pull over?

I have a FDE-11 for parts to convert it, just wondering if all the holes are pre-drilled for the brackets and such.

They should be...Easy enough to look and see...

You remove the regular bracket.----Then install the bracket with starter.----No drilling required.

I just picked up the motor and haven’t had the chance to look at anything, I’m waiting to get it on a stand
