150 Johnson will not idle

I have a 2000 Johnson 150 HP Ocean Pro. Runs fine when first started. Runs fine at cruising speed. It starts to miss, cough, and shuts off after returned to idle speed once engine is hot.
Any suggestions appreciated.

The float bowls are plastic.----They are known to warp.-----And have you changed out the water pump impeller ?

Check your spark when it's acting up to make sure it will jump a 3/8 " open air gap.

It's best to start your own thread, include the model # of your engine, and post full details of what the engine is doing and what troubleshooting you've already performed.
