115 hp

1. I have a 1987 115 hp outboard. It runs great until I hook up the charging system and then it runs rough and will not come up to above 1500 rpm. I have replaced the switch boxes and put a new rectifier on. Can anyone help with what the problem might be? Thanks, Don

Check the stator output as both should be about the same if one is higher then a stator problem. I have had 2 V-6 motor do this over the years and where bad stators.
