10 HP Evinrude has spark but won't fire

I have an early 60's 10 HP Evinrude that has spark at both plugs but won't fire. I replaced a coil so both are good now but still no fire. I was very careful with marking it so the timing wouldn't be off but I am not sure what it is? Could the kill switch be the issue being stuck in the stop mode?

Points must be absolutly clean ( no oil or film of anything ) ---------The spark that you do have , will it jump a gap of 1/4" or more ???-----If kill switch is stuck there would be no spark, but you can disconnect it if you like.----------------If points are set at 0.020" then timing will always be close enufff for it to run.--------Timing marks on the flywheel / magplate can be used to set points exactly.---------------Have you checked fuel supply , sprayed a bit of mixed fuel into carburetor to see if it will fire / make noise.--------Compression has been tested ???-------------Any more info that you can supply on the motor ???
 
I went through the carb and it is clean and I can hear the fuel in the carb filling up. I have tried putting a small amount of fuel in the plugs and still doesn't even pop. The compression feels good but I will test it to be sure. I touched up the points with some fine grit sand paper and blew them out. The spark looks strong with a blue arc. How can it be sparking and not firing with fuel directly in the pistons? I have done this on other engines and they always pop.

Is this a motor that you have owned for a long time or a $50.00 special you are trying to get running??-----------------------Are plug wires going to the correct cylinder ???
 
The motor will run with 75 PSI on both cylinders !!!---------------------When you find the problem you will say -------" that was simple "------------------For the best results you MUST ANSWER QUESTIONS-----------------Many folks are reluctant to do that and therefor get nowhere with the repair work.
 
Will it run well with 75 psi on both cylinders? I don't want to put a lot of time into if it will not. I recently acquired this motor and I have never seen it run. Yes, the wires are going to the correct cylinders. The top one has the small metal ring around the wire. What would you suggest the next step to be other than testing the other cylinder for a very similar compression?
 
Check the compression on both cylinders as the head gasket may be blown between them. Also check spark on a gap test as it should jump a 3/8 gap,if not it will not fire under compression as it is to weak to jump the air gap. It should at least "pop" with 75psi......
 
I checked spark and it looks good. I opened the gap a little bit on my plugs and that was it! It runs like a top. Thanks for all the help. You were right, something simple.
 
The plugs are at about .033. They were a little under .030 when I checked them. I will reset them back to right at .030 though. If it doesn't run at .030 I will check the points. Thanks for the input.
