Long story short, this motor has had an issue for over a year missing at idle and sometimes above idle under load. (In gear). The motor 2 months ago burned the number 6 cylinder. Power head was rebuilt and once I got it to the lake it still missed at idle. Went to the lake with mechanic, and he shut down cool packs individually all made the motor miss fire about the same except number 4 coil, when shut down the motor did not react near as bad as the others. He then read in the book that 4 coil is related to temperature sensors, we unplugged both port and starboard sensors on the cylinder heads and started the motor and it started better than I've ever heard it, hitting higher Rpm on start up than it usually does and then would not miss for 30 minutes of idling in gear. They said it was temperature sensors faulty, (which made sense) they ordered new sensors and I I talked them as it was just screw in and plug in type of deal. New temperature sensors plugged in cause the same bad issues, motor would barely start. I unplugged them and motor instantly started, if I then plug the sensors in while running at idle it immediately makes the motor miss and act up. Un plug them and it acts fine. The mechanics are merch sertified which honestly doesn't mean much to me anymore as to they have had me replace numerous parts including tps sensor with nothing changed. I am in desperation to try to find an answer to this what seems like a particularly isolated issue involving temperature sensor readings. I've spent so much money on a power head rebuild to still have a motor that won't run properly I'm out of options. Also I can't just leave them unplugged, the motor won't allow over 2500 rpm

I would like you to get a bore scope and verify that the cylinder liners are not rotated in the block bores. I know the engine was rebuilt, this needs to be checked first.

Tennessee is a little too far from Jersey.

When they rebuilt the power head they performed that procedure and none were rotated, also this issue has persisted before the rebuild and after now. And when the temp sensors are unplugged it has none of the issues
