    so i took the thermostat out and underneath that about two inch is a rubber dingy with a washer on one side and a sprig on the other anyone know if i should take that off as well , it looks like a pin hole on the outside of the exhaust plate so it must do something, but i really have know idea...

    well my 70 horse had new rings installed this winter boat works great after new stator install but i know these motors r know for the top cyl burning up and go figure i tested all three cyl top plug is running the hotterst boat doesnt run hot or anything just that top cyl is like 40 degrees...

    i have a 70 hp merc 1983 still on break in fresh powerhead, im having problems starting, so i tried a hotter plug 78 other than 76 i think that the # l76v champion , well i can get it to start on old stock plugs but new plugs nothing they all have spark any ideas please thanks
