    This outboard seems to have no spark. It has the standard type grey coils and I guess it must be a magneto engine as I see no CDI. What do you think I should try first to see why no spark? It is probably an 80's model in very good condition.

    Ran 2 stroke with no oil for a few minutes

    Big mistake trying out on muffs for spring. Let idle to warm the twisted throttle a few times to rev. Used my 4 stroke tank instead of my 2 stroke tank. I figure there was some residual oil in the engine and maybe that saved it?
