    For anybody wanting to know the final result, i bypassed the quick connect and ran fuel line direct to the pump. Makes zero sense but i figured i would try it to say that i did. runs fine.

    Thats my thoughts, too much fuel because when you cut off the fuel supply it takes off! Yes sir, brand new EMP fuel pump. New kit in carb. I did take the pump apart and found no problem. I will take the carb off again and double check float level. No signs of flooding at all. its a head scratcher.

    Wonder what ideal pressure is? 2-3psi? obviously if it drops out when it dies that is an issue. Never have put a fuel pressure gauge in line with a low pressure lift pump. Thank you for that bit of info. I will hook it up and see

    Reed valve or needle not seating?

    2001 Mercury 90hp 2 stroke. Compression 110 on all 3 cylinders and spark on all 3. Runs out on top end but doesn't want to idle for very long. Here is a picture of the intake cover. It looks like fuel has been coming out of the throat of the top carb. Model # 1090412ZD. Thanks in advance fellas!!
