Yes but the manual was printed 2 yrs before my engine and gasket material is different etc.
Someone said there is a later service bulletin (99-10) saying no sealant. I cant find it
Ooops I found it. But it dosnt mention sealant
My gaskets are blanked off - no water port. (circles are solid) Most instructions say if sealant is used not to put it on the round ports, but
everywhere else.
Ive researched the hell out of this and have found no consensus.

If sealant is uses on the metal gaskets it seems people say use Permatex Aviation ($12) or the Mercruiser sealant ($50) its basically the same.
But many say latest info is to not use...

Turned out the distributor rotor had blown up. replaced and she runs great again. But it did reveal the barrel harness connector seems loose. jiggle has it in place working now. but have to solve that.
Keep in mind the + terminal on ths starter is inacessible without removing risers, etc. Its being done so far by braile.
