    1985 9.9 Won't Shut off

    My motor starts and runs great but when I turn the key off it doesn't stop running. I've read that the black w/ yellow strip wire coming from the switch is not connected right? I found the same wire coming from the block but after so far it is all black. Any ideas on what to try?

    9.9 starting problems

    I have a 1983 9.9 model #E10ELCTC. New parts include ignition, plugs, solenoid, and fuel pump. I started it up and ran it approx. 10 minutes, shut it off and it started back up. This time I put it in forward gear and let it run for about 2 minutes. Shut it off and won't start! Engine cranks over...
