1985 9.9 Electric start wiring

I bought this motor from a guy last week In the first pic he said to run the red with blue stripe wire to one of the big post on the solenoid the yellow with red stripe to one of the small post on the solenoid In the second pic he said to hook up the red and black to the battery and the big lone black one to the other big post on the solenoid then I have two black wires coming from the motor harness and one black and one black with yellow stripe come from the controls He said to hook up two black wires to the other small post and he didn't know what the other two were for Any help? The first pic is coming from controls and second pic is coming from motor

You hook the red to a solenoid.----But I do not believe you want to hook a big black one to the solenoid.----Work carefully as you need to get this correct !

The wiring coming from the motor there is the black and red that looks like they would go to the battery and a single big black one.

It still has the push button starter on the motor so I believe that is what the red and black cables are for. After looking closer I believe the lone black one is going to the starter.
