    Update: while waiting for replacement gasket I put my M30A3 on the same boat. It accelerates much faster, has higher top speed than the 40C and reaches correct wot rpm. So problem must be 40C. Will continue updates even if no one has any input.

    Another note, I can't flip the boat over so would have to epoxy with gravity working against me. Maybe tape and some pressure would be enough for a good bond...then sand and aluminum bottom paint the valley/channel?

    CV25 2 stroke to CV30 conversion?

    Thanks. It looks like they're different even though they share the majority of parts. CV25 is 430cc and CV30 is 496. It looks like the single carb 25 changed to the smaller 430cc displacement in 1990. Go back to 1989 and the 25 has the same displacement and powerhead as the CV30.

    I have a CV25 2 stroke from the early 90s. It’s a 2 cylinder single carb and appears to be identical to the CV30. Wondering if there’s a restrictor somewhere I could remove to get a little bump in performance?
