The engine runs fine at the beginning of the day, at some point during the day as the temp goes up it will start to cut out above 4000 runs fine at 3900. Its cutting out hard almost like the key is being turned off and back on. I have squeezed the bulb while running and still cuts out, drained...
Assuming you have tightened the bypass valve.
The oring on the bypass on mine went shortly after the orings in the top cap. Mine would raise but lower on its own. If i understand correctly there is a check valve in the bypass valve.

My power trim is leaking out the top seal. Was fine when parked 6 years ago, works fine now when full of fluid. The boat has been garage kept when not in use so i dont have lots of corrosion ect

there are lots of videos ect on the physical delete of the vro pump. what steps do i need to follow to eliminate the chimes. Can i just unplug all the vro and oil tank harnesses from the motor? The oem fuel pump seems a bit high, are any of the aftermarket ones worth using?

I have owned the boat since new. It has developed slack in the wheel, It has a rotary style helm.
Everything works smoothly, the slack seems to be at the wheel, Is there anything i can inspect to derermine what part is actually bad?
I have 2000 40hp that i bought new on a lowe 170. its always been garage kept and has run perfectly. Its been setting for 6-7 years, I have replaced the water pump, the fuel bulb and hoses.
