Slack in Steering

I have owned the boat since new. It has developed slack in the wheel, It has a rotary style helm.
Everything works smoothly, the slack seems to be at the wheel, Is there anything i can inspect to derermine what part is actually bad?

Ayuh,...... Worn out helms are replaced, not repaired,.....

I suggest a new helm, 'n cable "Kit",.....
